A Television station in France stated that they only pay Genevieve Nnaji $1,500 per roll in a Nollywood movie. Everyone on the show laughed out loud. Come-to-find-out, it was only a 10mins walk-on role and she only spent a total of three hours on set for the entire movie. Filmmakers know three hours is not even enough time to set up the camera, talk-less of shooting an entire film. It is unfortunate the French do not know the authority, respect, and pay grade Genevieve Nnaji is on today. I wonder if they have heard about Genny’s recent deal with Etisalat?!

Fantastic news and a major breakthrough for the entire Nollywood industry! Genevieve Nnaji closes a ₦100,000,000 deal with Etisalat! She stars alongside Hollywood Superstar Hakeem Kae Kazeem in the official Etisalat commercial. To celebrate, Genny is spotted on a yacht sponsored by Etisalat!

FANS BLAST TONTO DIKEH FOR POSTING PICTURES OF OUTING WITH HER MAID?!

It's perfectly normal for Africans in the middle or high class to hire a maid to assist with household chores. However, that is not the issue here, it is not the hiring of the maid, it is the alleged relationship between the master and the servant.

Tonto Dikeh was reportedly seen going on an outing with her maid and she posted a few pictures of the outing on Instagram and Facebook. Once fans saw the peculiar pictures and what she wrote to describe the pictures, fans shouted in rage!

According to ModernGhana Tonto responded to her fans outrage saying "Why do u pipo alwaz look for fault in anytin I do or say? Remember the bible say 'ye dat always see d bad/fault in odaz without seeing his/her won is digging d pit to garve'(non be me talk am o na he dey for bible) #poko"

FAMOUS U.S DIRECTOR “AB SALLU" TALKS ABOUT HIS BIGGEST NOLLYWOOD U.S.A PROJECT?!

A.B. Sallu was born to Sierra Leonean Parents who lived in the city of New York, U.S.A in the 1980s. As a teenager, he moved to Freetown, Sierra Leone to attend school. While away in Africa, tragedy struck and a civil war broke out. Frightened and looking for an outlet, A.B. developed an extreme interest in film making. Despite the dangers of war, A.B. persevered and completed his secondary education in Freetown. He then moved back to the United States to complete his Bachelor’s degree. He obtained two degrees, one in Broadcasting Engineering and the other in Film Making.

While Schooling in the United States, A.B worked on several projects geared for the European entertainment industry. He also shot music videos for up and coming musicians. In 2011 he joined ventures with one of the founding fathers of Nollywood U.S.A (Papa Gee) and shot his very first full featured Nollywood film.

Since then, A.B Sallu has successfully directed over 7 feature projects including Secret Past, African Connection, Dirty Pastor, Bloodline Battle, and A Message to Brian. “Bloodline Battle” and “A Message to Brian” are set to hit movie theaters in the United States summer 2014. 

Nollywood Radio France had an exclusive interview with AB Sallu. He was interviewed on the Nollywood Spotlight Show by Rebeccah Monyei and Cyprian Josson. During the interview, the multi-talented director shed some light on the current state of Nollywood USA and, the impact of Nollywood Africa. He also shared his passion for the industry and touched on his biggest project yet, “Bloodline Battle” (A Nollywood kingdom saga filmed in the United States).
