Killed By Testicles

Woman Kills Man By Squeezing His Testicles

The man on the graphic photo below is a 42-year-old shop owner in the Meilan District of Haikou City, in Hainan, that big island south of mainland China. He is dead. A 41-year-old woman killed him. By squeezing his testicles.

Update: Yes, you can die from extreme testicular pain. Here's the scientific explanation, by urologist and San Diego Sexual Medicine's director Dr. Irwin Goldstein.

According to witnesses talking to China News 24, the woman was riding a scooter and tried to park it in front of the man's shop. She was going to pick up her son, who attends the elementary school in that neighborhood.

The man went out of the shop and told her that she couldn't park her scooter there. She protested and a the shouting match started. After a while they started to fight physically. The woman called her husband and brother, who came to the scene. But things got a lot worse than just a few smacks here and there: the woman grabbed the man's testicles and squeezed them so hard and long that the man shutdown. He collapsed on the ground out of the pain and, worse, he was dead. Yes, people. dead by ballsqueeze.

The paramedics tried to revive him on the spot to no avail. He was rushed to the hospitals, but doctors couldn't do anything for him. I really want to know what the death certificate says. And I really want to know how the hell one can die from ballsqueezing.

Die While Sleeping - Warning !

Sleep Apnea Symptoms: Sneaky Signs You Might Have The Sleep Disorder

Maybe someone has told you your snore is deafening, or you've woken up on more than your fair share of mornings feeling less than refreshed. In those instances, it's probably pretty obvious something's up with your sleep.

But in the case of sleep apnea, a disorder wherein people stop breathing while asleep, sometimes hundreds of times a night, pinpointing the problem can be significantly trickier. These brief periods of breathing cessation don't trigger full alertness, but disrupt sleep enough to leave sufferers groggy in the mornings -- and at risk for a number of more serious health problems, often without even realizing there's a problem.

People with undiagnosed sleep apnea -- which may affect more than 20 million adults, according to the American Sleep Apnea Association -- may go on to develop diabetes or depression, and face an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes, among other concerns.

Men over the age of 40 are at an increased risk for sleep apnea. Being overweight also increases your likelihood of developing the condition, as can a family history of the disease, having a large tongue or neck and having allergies, sinus problems or any nasal obstruction, according to WebMD.

Luckily, there are a number of ways to treat sleep apnea, including simple lifestyle measures like losing weight and avoiding alcohol. But all too often a sleep apnea diagnosis is hard to come by. There's no "test" for sleep apnea, and it's not often evident at a doctor's appointment, according to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. A family member or bed partner is often first to notice the signs, usually snoring or brief periods of no breathing.

But don't leave your health entirely in the hands of the people sleeping around you. Today, in honor of Sleep Apnea Awareness Day, take a moment to familiarize yourself with these more surprising signs that you could have sleep apnea.

The Reasons Why You Shoul Never Bring Condoms To States

'Detained for carrying condoms, sexy undies'

A WOMAN claims she was detained by US border officials three times in two weeks and accused of being a sex worker for having condoms and "racy underwear" in her luggage.

University of British Columbia graduate Clay Nikiforuk (a pseudonym) wrote an article for the Huffington Post about the "baffling" series of events that occurred as she travelled through the US with a married man.

"What do you do when you're detained by powerful officials, everything you say is presumed deceptive, arbitrary 'evidence' is held against you, and you're treated like a moral deviant? And what if it's 2013, you're a woman, and the "evidence" is that you possess condoms?" asked Nikiforuk in a book on the sociology of sexual assault.

Nikiforuk said she was first held by border guards in Vermont in March, where her bag was searched "at least five times". She had approximately eight condoms in her suitcase and underwear.

"I could not help but notice how often my lingerie and 'sexy underwear' were mentioned, how often the condoms they found were looked upon scathingly, and how most of the four male officers' questions pertained to both," she said.

"I was like, 'Yeah, some girls like shoes, I like nice underwear', and then realised it was really not funny. They were taking it very seriously… and looking at my condoms and counting them.

"I was baffled as to why this was any of their business and unsure of what their objective was."

She was eventually granted a limited two-week visa, but she'd missed her bus and plane by that time so had to wait until the next morning to continue her journey.

Two weeks later she alleged Montreal Airport officials took her into a back office and interrogated her about the man she was travelling with.

During the questioning she admitted the man was married and she was planning on sharing a hotel bed with him. Nikiforuk was forced to tell the official that the man's wife "doesn't want to know the details, but she knows" about their affair.

"The next thing I knew he was searching my bags, pulling out condoms and waving them in my face," she said.

"He said: 'I could have you charged with being a working girl! The proof is right here'."

She was asked: "How much is he paying you to go on this trip?". When she answered that she wasn't being paid, she was told off for participating in adultery and let go.

Next came Miami, where she claims she was detained, interrogated, fingerprinted, patted down and "yelled at" for eight hours and asked: "Are you looking to be sexually assaulted?" when she told the official she was writing a book on the sociology of sexual assault.

She has filed a complaint over the incident, claiming she was the victim of a sexist double standard.

US immigration lawyer Steve Goldstein told Canada's Metro News that he's never heard of someone being denied entry to the US because they were carrying condoms.

US Customs and Border Patrol told news.com.au they cannot comment due to privacy laws

"Due to privacy laws, US Customs and Border Protection is prohibited from discussing specific cases or individuals," a  US Customs and Border Patrol spokesperson said. "CBP strives to treat all travellers with respect and in a professional manner, preserving the civil rights and civil liberties of all people with whom the officers and agents interact while maintaining the focus of our mission to protect all citizens and visitors in the United States.

"CBP stresses honour and integrity in every aspect of our mission, and the overwhelming majority of CBP employees and officers perform their duties with honor and distinction, working tirelessly every day to keep our country safe."

The Secrets How To Do Cinnamon Challenge Safely!

Doctors warn teens about taking the 'cinnamon challenge' in new report

CHICAGO –  Don't take the cinnamon challenge. That's the advice from doctors in a new report about a dangerous prank depicted in popular YouTube videos but which has led to hospitalizations and a surge in calls to U.S. poison centers.

The fad involves daring someone to swallow a spoonful of ground cinnamon in 60 seconds without water. But the spice is caustic, and trying to gulp it down can cause choking, throat irritation, breathing trouble and even collapsed lungs, the report said.

Published online Monday in Pediatrics, the report said at least 30 teens nationwide needed medical attention after taking the challenge last year.

'Orange burst of dragon breath'

The number of poison control center calls about teens doing the prank "has increased dramatically," from 51 in 2011 to 222 last year, according to the American Association of Poison Control Centers.

"People with asthma or other respiratory conditions are at greater risk of having this result in shortness of breath and trouble breathing," according to an alert posted on the association's website.

Thousands of YouTube videos depict kids attempting the challenge, resulting in an "orange burst of dragon breath" spewing out of their mouths and sometimes hysterical laughter from friends watching the stunt, said report co-author Dr. Steven E. Lipshultz, a pediatrics professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Cinnamon is made from tree bark and contains cellulose fibers that don't easily break down. Animal research suggests that when cinnamon gets into the lungs, it can cause scarring, Lipshultz said.

'It's not cool, and it's dangerous'

Dr. Stephen Pont, a spokesman for the American Academy of Pediatrics and an Austin, Texas pediatrician, said the report is "a call to arms to parents and doctors to be aware of things like the cinnamon challenge" and to pay attention to what their kids are viewing online.

An Ypsilanti, Mich., teen who was hospitalized for a collapsed lung after trying the cinnamon challenge heartily supports the new advice and started her own website -- http://nocinnamonchallenge.com -- telling teens to "just say no" to the fad.

Dejah Reed, 16, said she took the challenge four times -- the final time was in February last year with a friend who didn't want to try it alone.

"I was laughing very hard, and I coughed it out, and I inhaled it into my lungs," she said. "I couldn't breathe."

Her father, Fred Reed, said he arrived home soon after to find Dejah "a pale bluish color. It was very terrifying. I threw her over my shoulder" and drove to a nearby emergency room.

Dejah was hospitalized for four days and went home with an inhaler and said she still has to use it when she gets short of breath from running or talking too fast. Her dad said she'd never had asthma or breathing problems before.

Dejah said she'd read about the challenge on Facebook and other social networking sites and "thought it would be cool" to try.

Now she knows "it's not cool and it's dangerous."

The Top Secrets How To Slim Down Forever

Dead student's family call for clampdown on slimming drug

Sarah Houston, 23, died after taking banned dinitrophenol (DNP), which she ordered online, alongside antidepressants

A coroner and the family of a medical student suffering from bulimia who died after taking a banned weight-loss drug bought online have called for a change in the law to further tighten the distribution of the substance, which has been blamed for other deaths.

Dr Graham Mould, a forensic toxicologist, told an inquest into the death of Sarah Houston, 23, that a combination of dinitrophenol (DNP), which is banned from human consumption but is used as a chemical pesticide, and antidepressants may have been fatal.

DNP, which was first used to treat obesity in the 1930s but was banned as a food substance due to its dangerous side effects, continues to be used as a slimming aid by bodybuilders around the world. It was linked to 62 deaths in a study published last year in the Journal of Medical Toxicity.

The University of Leeds medical student, who comes from a family of doctors, is believed to have been taking the drug secretly alongside a prescribed antidepressant Fluoxetine. Houston was found dead in her bedroom by a flatmate.

The inquest in Wakefield heard she had complained of feeling hot and unwell and had been breathing heavily on the evening before she died in September last year.

Mould said there was no evidence of an overdose. "We don't know how long Sarah had been taking DNP but it may have accumulated in her system," he said. "It increases the body's metabolic rate. The side effects can be overheating and breathlessness caused by an increased heart rate and this seems to be consistent with how Sarah was feeling that evening.

"The side effects of DNP were clearly present and it's possible that Fluoxetine may have exacerbated the affect of DNP. At a very high dose, Fluoxetine can have a similar affect to DNP and so one can speculate that the two drugs together might have speeded up the affect."

Mould pointed out that the Food Standards Agency had previously issued a report warning the public not to take DNP.

Coroner David Hinchliff said: "The only way to combat the use of DNP is to bring to the attention of the public how dangerous a substance it is.

"This is not a one-off case and it needs bringing to the public's attention."

Outside court, Houston's family said she was not depressed at the time she died and her health had improved leading up to her death. In a statement, they said that it was incomprehensible that DNP could be purchased over the internet and called on the government to take steps to ensure that no other family suffered in the same way in future.

"It's going to be a slow process, but hopefully approaching the Home Office to begin with will be the right step and hopefully it will be made illegal," said Sarah's father, Geoff Houston. "For those who are selling it, if you have any ounce of decency you must stop."

The coroner recorded a verdict of death by misadventure.

A Hole In Chinese Condoms - Warning !

Ghana seizes 'faulty Chinese condoms'

The FDA said the condoms were also not adequately lubricated

About 230,000 people in Ghana are living with HIV

More than 110 million Chinese-made condoms have been seized in Ghana after laboratory tests revealed they were faulty, Ghanaian officials have said.

"There are holes in them and... the condoms burst easily," a Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) spokesman told the BBC.

The condoms were being distributed free as part of an HIV/Aids prevention campaign by the Ghana Health Service.

About 200 million of the faulty condoms are believed to have been imported into the country.

The BBC's Sammy Darko in the capital, Accra, says the condom packaging is silvery white with a red Aids ribbon incorporated into the design and the words "Be Safe" also in red.

The FDA has issued an alert about their safety.

Thomas Amedzro, head of drug enforcement at the FDA, said the condoms had been imported via Kenya from a Chinese manufacturer.

All imported condoms are supposed to be tested by the FDA before distribution, he said.

"Somehow there was a lapse; the batches of the condoms were not submitted as duly required for the appropriate testing to be conducted," he told the BBC's Focus on Africa programme.

Anybody using them could be "exposed to sexually transmitted infections or be saddled with unwanted pregnancies", Mr Amedzro said.

"You may not be able to see the holes with your naked eye but when you look at it under the microscope you can see holes," he said.'

They were also not adequately lubricated, the FDA said.

Our reporter says the health service took delivery of the condoms in February this year, but they arrived in the country in the last quarter of 2012.

"Since the alert went out, a number of individuals and organisations have already reported to us that they have stocks, which we are already retrieving," Mr Amedzro said.

A publicity campaign was underway to ensure that all the other unsafe condoms were found, he added.

According to UN figures, an estimated 230,000 people in Ghana, which has a population of 25 million, are living with HIV.

The World's Best Doctor - Makes A Daughter Dies After Misdiagnosed Meningitis as Flu

Girl, 3, dies after GP mistakes meningitis symptoms for flu

Chloe Cain had vomited for days and was completely unable to walk
But GP said she was suffering with flu and prescribed painkillers
The following night she suffered a seizure and was rushed to hospital
Tests revealed she was suffering with cryptococcal meningitis
A week later her life support machine was switched off and she died

Tara is now desperate to raise awareness of the condition as her daughter did not show any of the normal symptoms of meningitis such as a rash or stiff neck.
Tara Cain is devastated after her daughter Chloe's symptoms were mistaken for a bout of flu and ultimately cost her life

Three-year-old Chloe loved dancing, playing in the park and going to nursery before she tragically died

A mother has told how her three-year-old daughter died from meningitis after a GP misdiagnosed the killer disease as flu.

Brave Chloe Cain had been vomiting for days and had been completely unable to walk when her mother Tara, 29, rushed her to the doctor on March 24.

After spending 20 minutes with the child, Tara claims the GP concluded Chloe just had a bug and prescribed pain killers.

But the following night the Chloe suffered a massive seizure at home and was taken by ambulance to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

After a series of tests carried out over the following two days, Tara was given the crushing news that Chloe had cryptococcal meningitis.

Cryptococcal meningitis is caused by a fungus found in soil all over the world. It tends to affect those with a weakened immune system. Unlike bacterial meningitis, this form of meningitis comes on more slowly, over the course of a few days to weeks.

Symptoms include fever, hallucinations, headache, nausea and vomiting, sensitivity to light and a stiff neck. Chloe did not suffer the tell-tale stiff neck or rash associated with the infection.

Just one week later on April 4 her life support machine was switched off - after the killer bug took grip of the youngster's tiny body.

Today furious Tara, from Nottingham, slammed the GP who wrongly diagnosed her daughter.

She said: ‘I am fuming at the way they shrugged off what I was saying and said it was flu.

‘They just sent me on my way with Ibuprofen and paracetamol.

‘If they had done their jobs correctly then it might've been sorted out by tackling it sooner. They just gave me no support whatsoever.

‘They wanted to take a urine sample to get to the bottom of it, but because she kept throwing up the water they just stopped trying.

‘When she was finally taken in she was attached to a ventilator to help her breathe and they diagnosed her with meningitis. I was heartbroken.

Tara Cain is desperate to raise awareness about the disease that killed her daughter

‘I was begging for her to get better. It was killing me. I really was 50;50 as to whether she was going to live or not.

‘It was always my worst fear that she would get meningitis as my cousin's baby had it and it took him a long time to recover.

‘So I always prayed this wouldn't happen to my daughter.’

She will be doing a parachute jump next month to raise money for The Meningitis Trust.

Chloe will have a small funeral with only a few friends and family, which will be held next Wednesday.

Paying tribute to her daughter, Tara added: ‘She loved Tinkerbell and Fireman Sam, and loved dancing and playing down the park.

‘My fondest memory of her was when she would wake up at 3am asking to go to nursery.

‘Sometimes I would be downstairs in the early hours of the morning unable to sleep and Chloe would come bouncing down the stairs asking to go to nursery.

‘She just loved going there. Some kids would kick and scream when they were dropped off at school, but not Chloe, she would have lived there if she could.’

Naked Teacher On School

Naked Teacher Shows Up to School Praising His ‘Third Eye’

You know that common recurring nightmare where you're wandering around your elementary school after hours, and you stumble into your teacher, and he's completely naked and wanting to talk to you about enlightenment? No? Maybe it's just me. Anyway — that scenario has played itself out in real life. What does it all mean?

Harlan Porter, a 31-year-old teacher at B.C. Haynie Elementary School in Georgia, was discovered by another teacher walking through the school completely naked at 3:20 p.m. on Friday. Porter had recently learned that his contract wouldn't be renewed.

The students had already gone home, sparing Porter a charge of child molestation, but he was jailed and charged with public indecency and indecent exposure. The police officer who arrested him didn't fail to see the humor in the situation — particularly when the teacher started babbling in New Age-speak.

The arresting officer wrote in the incident report that Porter spoke of a "new level of enlightenment" and said "he wanted everybody to be free now that his third eye was open."

"I then explained the obvious problem with his third eye being opened in public," the officer wrote. "He readily agreed that his decision to remove his clothing posed a problem and stated that he understood why I would likely have to place him under arrest."

The police report went on to say that teachers had noticed other strange behavior in Porter: The strict vegan had been spotted binging on Taco Bell just hours before his nude stroll. Which — everybody now! — goes a long way towards explaining that gaping third eye.

The World's Rudest Countries for Travelers

World's 10 rudest countries for travelers
Travelers aren't always welcome, and some people let you know it

Travelers love Paris, but do Parisians love them back?

Travel search site Skyscanner recently released a list of the world’s rudest nations for visitors, naming the countries whose smiley and friendly natives are apparently confined to their promotional videos.

The result, which lists 34 countries, is based on Skyscanner’s online poll, which received more than 1,200 responses from Europe, North America and Australia.
France, the champion of impoliteness

La Belle France was declared the champion of impoliteness, garnering nearly 20 percent of the total votes.

French people are known for “their abrupt and curt nature,” especially while facing foreign tourists,  Edinburgh-based Skyscanner told International Business Times.

Russia took second place with 16.6 percent of the votes, followed by the United Kingdom (10.4 percent), Germany (9.93 percent) and a puzzingly labeled “Others” (miscellaneous countries).

China (4.3 percent) ranked sixth on the list, leading Asia.
Language barriers and cultural differences are the main causes

China-based etiquette expert Lawrence Lo (卢浩研) pointed out that language barriers and cultural differences are the two major players behind the ranking.

“The French are very protective of their language, and customers can get different responses for ordering in French or in another language,” said Lo.

Yi Bao, Skyscanner marketing manager for China, gave an example to back the "culture difference" theory.

According to Yi, though queuing is a social norm in the West, it’s not a common behavior for Chinese people, “so [it] could be interpreted as being rude [by international travelers.]”

The personality of hospitality staff is another contributing factor.

Lo said many restaurants’ waiting staff in Chinese cities are usually young women from rural areas, and that the Chinese are naturally more shy than Westerners.

“[These waitresses] don’t have the confidence or language skill to handle foreign travelers. Sometimes, they’d rather avoid them,” said Lo.

“On the other hand, a lot of French waiters have worked in this position their whole life, so they have a superiority complex in front of travelers.”

Lo also said the result of the survey depended on what type of travelers were voting.

"For many backpackers, challenges in language and culture actually form part of the fun of traveling," said Lo.

Here are the 10 rudest countries on Skyscanner’s list:

1. France
2. Russia
3. United Kingdom
4. Germany
5. Others
6. China
7. United States
8. Spain
9. Italy
10. Poland

The countries voted least rude were:

25. Japan
26. Denmark
27. Canada
28. New Zealand
29. Indonesia
30. Portugal
31. Thailand
32. The Philippines
33. Caribbean region
34. Brazil

How To Teach Your Kids About Oral Sex ? Warning !

Fr-ooze Pop

So, for the second time we have to ask if the people designing products for children are just amazingly naive, or if they're a bunch of giggling stoners seeing what they can get past the marketing team. The Fr-ooze Pop is shaped like a dildo. Fine, you can say that about a lot of food. But if you lick the Fr-ooze Pop enough, a gooey substance squirts into your mouth.

The Fr-ooze Pop was marketed to kids in Singapore using a voice that repeatedly says, "lick it, suck it." Maybe they're just not as cynical as we are over there? And, uh, maybe over there penises work differently?

If so, then what's our excuse for...

The World's Most Brutal College Hazing Rituals

The 14 Most Brutal College Hazing Rituals

What's the worst sorority/fraternity hazing rituals? From being sexually assaulted using knives, pens and household tools, to being forced to consume deadly amounts of controlled substances, to being locked in a room with excrement, here are the worst, most brutal college hazing rituals reported from all around the United States. These are 14 scary hazing stories indeed.

1. Boob Ranking

In a story run by ABC News, author and researcher Alexandra Robbins reported that the worst kind of emotional hazing she saw in sororities was "boob ranking."

In this procedure, the sisters forced pledges to strip off their shirts and bras in a cold room, and then line up in order of breast size.

This is mostly because what this did was reinforce insecurities that the girls were probably already saying to themselves.

The older "sisters" would then make fun of them and play mental games with their vulnerable and helpless victims.

2. The Elephant Walk
Vermont passed an anti-hazing law in 1999 due to an incident at University of Vermont where members of the hockey team forced freshman players to drink warm beer until they vomited and perform something called an "Elephant Walk", which is horrible and a form of rape, if forced upon someone.

ELEPHANT WALK: Definition

According to the Urban Dictionary, there are many forms of the "Elephant Walk".

1) A group of males walks in a straight line, each person putting one thumb in their mouth and the other thumb inside the anus of the male in front of them.

2) A group of males walks in a straight line holding onto the (erect) penis of the males behind and in front of them.

3) A group of males walks in a straight line holding onto the (erect) penis of the males in behind them while putting one thumb into the anus of the males in front of them.

Any of these iterations does NOT sound like an effective mode of transportation, or a fun way to spend any afternoon.

3. Cocaine or Dildo: Your Choice

Sororities are just as sexually cruel, if not infinitely moreso, than Fraternities. Looking at this list, it's apparent that the women in Sororities are more interested in emotional and social humiliation than the males. Males tend to angle towards the physical feats of strength or disgustingness. Both (freely) exercise public humiliation, but the levels of both differ and definitely run deeper in female circles. FOR EXAMPLE...

The Hazing Prevention Center, one of the leading non-profit organizations working to eradicate hazing, receives hundred of emails from traumatized victims of sorority and fraternity hazing. One e-mail was from a girl who reported that she had to either use a d***o in front of all her "sisters" or take a hit of cocaine.

So it's either your morals... or your morals? Or your common sense vs... your common sense? It's a toss-up, but an elicit drug that can cause permanent brain damage and is HIGHLY illegal or sexual, social, public humiliation? Which would you choose?

4. Paddling (It's Worse Than It Sounds)

Paddling is what some may think a classic. Though it's what's most commonly associated with the ancient tradition of hazing. Paddling sounds funny, but is still one of the worst. In fact, many have gone to the hospital with severe bodily injuries due to the violent act.

This infliction of harm upon each other is often meant to strengthen the bonds between the victim and group (don't ask how that works), but often it's just plain harm. One girl reported to The Star-Ledger that she was told the beatings would "humble" her and build love and trust between the sorority sisters.

However, after seven nights of beatings and being struck a total of 201 times, the pledge went to the hospital because she was no longer able to sit due to the blood clots and welts all over her buttocks.

Another paddling incident that resulted in the victim in a hospital took place in 2007.

Two Florida A&M fraternity brothers were given two years in prison for paddling a pledge with wooden canes.

One of the Kappa Alpha Psi members was paddling the pledge while the other member was an encourager (in the grimmest sense), urging the pledge to take the paddling and reviving him when he passed out. Aw, what a good brother.

5. Raped by a Sharpie Marker

No, this isn't the kind of " Sharpie rape " you see in most schools that really just means getting marked on by a Sharpie (a permanent marker) unexpectedly. This is actual, sexual, penetration; using a Sharpie.

In 2002, seven football players from Methodist College in North Carolina were arrested on hazing charges for restraining a freshman, stripping him of his underwear, writing all over his butt and smacking it numerous times.

The worst part is that to "seal the deal", as it were, the player with the most ironic position-name, Antonio Wilkerson (wide receiver for the team) sexually assaulted the freshman athlete with a Sharpie marker after everything had been said and done.

He, along with the other Methodist players involved, were suspended after their November 14 arrests and did not partake in the team's final game; unfortunately because getting benched, or even sitting down, was probably the last thing on the victim's mind.

6. All the Alcohol You Can('t) Take in 90 Minutes
Adam Marszal and Russell Taylor, two former students at California Polytechnic State University, were sentenced to jail after hazing a freshman who died of alcohol poisoning while pledging Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

The boy, 18, died after drinking large amounts of alcohol in 90 minutes. There was no afterparty.

The boy, at his time of death, had a Blood Alcohol Level of .44. Just to put it into perspective, that is more than 5 times the legal limit for driving and actually exceeds the levels of the effects of surgical anesthesia.

7. Drinking Two Gallons of A Drink Called "Death"

A brother known as the "pledge father" says, "We want to see you down this stuff, balls to the wall."

And then you start chugging a spicy and thick drink known as "Death" before you don't-die-but-almost-feel-like-dying for about 5 hours.

Each pledge of Lambda Phi Epsilon, a historically Asian fraternity, must drink about two gallons worth of this time-honored concoction (probably a mixture of ketchup and Tabasco sauce).

This usually takes about 4 to 5 hours for everyone to finishing drinking, then puking, then drinking some more. Click here for more information on this delicious, popular, new drink.

8. Exercises in Feces and Urine

There's nothing that says brotherly love more than feces and urine. Although it is said that many frats force their pledges to drink urine, few documented examples beyond just hearsay have surfaced with discreet details (at least as far as college hazing rituals go... military hazing rituals are a whole OTHER can of worms).

An incident took place at Hartwick College where pledges of Alpha Chi Ro were forced to carry feces-covered rocks through a forest and do push-ups and up downs in urine-soaked garbage. It's worse than it sounds.

The garbage also contained glass and dirty diapers.

The basement was in the house of Peter Torabkhan, who along with two other guys were charged by state police at Oneonta with first-degree hazing (a criminal offense nowadays).

Another man, Yury Pertsovsky, who was not a student at Hartwick, was also charged with second-degree aggravated harassment for making threatening phone calls to the freshman who reported the incident.

9. Trivia Questions: Choose Your Object

Alexandra Robbins, author of the book "Pledged: The Secret Life of Sororities," spent a year undercover and witnessed one incident where the pledge class had to answer trivia questions and drink straight vodka when they got the question wrong. Not too bad, right? Just a normal, run-of-the-mill drinking game (involving minors), right?

If they got enough wrong, though, they were presented with a Sharpie (what is it with these things), a knife, a hammer and a dildoo, with the threat that one of those objects would violate them.

10. Raw Liver, No Teeth

This is a vintage piece with about as much panache as any modern-day hazing ritual.

In 1959, the pledges of Kappa Sigma had to swallow pieces of raw liver (each as big as a club sandwich) soaked in oil without chewing.

Richard Swanson was not successful in swallowing the liver and after his fourth try, the liver lodged in his throat forcing him to be taken to the hospital.

The attendant in the ambulance, however, did not know about the liver and Swanson died at the hospital less than two hours after he began choking.

I repeat: two hours of choking. Needless to say this liver-swallowing is not so widely practiced anymore; instead people just stick to ruining theirs.

11. Water Overdoses

When somebody goes to college and dies from a WATER overdose, you know they've really missed out on the whole college experience. This is exactly what happens at a fraternity hazing ritual at the State University of New York.

In March 2003, Walter Dean Jennings III was pledging Psi Epsilon Chi when he was forced to drink numerous pitchers of water, often to the point of vomiting. He ended up drinking so much that his brain swelled and he died from water intoxication. That's right, there's such a thing.

21 students were punished by the university and 13 were charged with crimes that included criminally negligent homicide.

Another incident of water intoxication took place in 2005 at California State University Chico (the classiest of the CSUs).

Matthew Carrington and a friend were pledging the Chi Tau fraternity when they were doused with gallons of cold water and powerful fans blew cold air on them.

If that wasn't enough, they were forced to do calisthenics while standing on one foot and drink several gallons of cold water. As any normal human being would do under such extreme conditions, Carrington collapsed.

He unsurprisingly had hypothermia and brain swelling from water intoxication, and died two hours later. Oh, and this was during the Winter semester.

After all was said and done, no need to worry as the cold-hearted "brothers" were brought to justice.

12. Boiling Hot Water On Back, Chest, Genitals

At Tulane University, pledges for Pi Alpha Kappa were put under boiling water for the most physically enduring pain they'd ever had. Fraternity brothers used boiling water containing pepper spray and a "crab boil" seasoning mixture containing cayenne pepper to pour over their victims' backs.

Oddly enough, the ones who screamed didn't get burned as badly, but those who held it in got the worst of it. As the evening went on the water get hotter and the burns get deeper.

One pledge suffered second- and third-degree burns to his back, chest, buttocks and genitals and was subjected to twice-daily burn treatments by doctor's orders.

He was also not able to take his exams or travel that semester.

10 of the "brothers" faced charges of aggravated second-degree battery; so needless to say, justice was served as they seemed to end up in some pretty hot water.

13. Circling the Fat on Your Body

As if they didn't already have to endure this enough as an awkward teen in high school, body critiquing STILL exists in the university "Greek" system as a heinous part of the hazing process for many sororities.

Because what's more humiliating than being told you're "ugly" and "fat" in front of a new set of peers you want so badly to impress? Well... nothing. So, often times what happens is that they get one of the pledges to walk across a table in their underwear so that the rest of the sisters can draw on her body to circle the parts of her that need physical improvement.

This form of hazing and psychological warfare is one of the more (physically) benign, but surprisingly common practices found in hazing rituals around the U.S.

14. Public Body-Critiquing Assembly
Another humiliating case reported by Alexandra Robbins was a woman who was forced to stand on a bench in front of an entire fraternity, completely exposed.

When she got up onto the bench, the fraternity would give public critiques by yelling out the parts of her body that needed "work".

After talking to one of the women that endured this type of scrutiny and humiliation just to become a part of some social group, she said, "This happened in the '90s and almost a decade later she still had emotional scars."

Sell The Daughter for Prostitute

Thai mum jailed for prostituting daughter

A Thai prostitute who sold her daughter for sex for seven years, from the age of nine, has become the first person in Australia to be jailed for child trafficking.

In sentencing the 41-year-old woman to nine years' jail, Brisbane Supreme Court Justice David Boddice slammed her behaviour as the "horrendous" exploitation of an innocent child who was simply trying to please her mother.

"This behaviour was particularly shocking, despicable and reprehensible as it was undertaken by a parent for financial profit ... with no regard for common decency," he said.

The court heard on Tuesday that the abuse started when the child visited her mother on a holiday to Australia in 2004.

Prosecutor Todd Fuller SC said the woman brought the child permanently to Brisbane when she turned 11, making her a partner in the business.

Mr Fuller said the woman encouraged the child to perform a wide range of sexual services and threatened her with violence if she refused.

The woman told the daughter to exploit her clients - who paid her handsomely for services - for additional gifts and possible marriage.

"She regarded her daughter's virginity as a commodity that she could sell," Mr Fuller said.

The offending was discovered in 2011 when the girl complained to a family friend, who reported it to police.

The 41-year-old woman pleaded guilty to 20 charges, including child trafficking, procuring prostitution of a child, indecent treatment of a child and maintaining a sexual relationship with a child.
She will be eligible for parole after serving four years.

Blow Job in Public for Thailand Hazing Rituals

Hazing rituals gone wrong in Thailand

Here in Thailand the ever popular hazing an often ritualistic test and a task, which may constitute harassment, abuse or humiliation with requirements to perform random, often meaningless tasks, sometimes as a way of initiation into a social group is getting out of hand at certain education institutions.

So this means new university students who attend orientation week are put through such tasks. Some vary from mundane tasks, humiliating acts to violent and dangerous rituals. Here some new female students had to perform simulated oral sex on male students, here in Thailand society looks down on this behaviour very badly, it is not tolerated especially being broadcast across media, if behind close doors and people don’t see or hear about it, all is fine.

In Thailand Technology schools, schools that teach trade skills usually get bad raps and for good cause, as they are the ones that commit the most serious and dangerous initiation rites. Technology school are full of kids from the wrong side of the tracks, kids who didn’t make it through school, dropped out or got terrible grades and couldn’t get into a university. I am not trying to pigeon hole these kids but they are often in the media here for all the wrong reasons.

A case in the paper 2 weeks ago you can read here, a new student had his back spray painted or branded in paint with “Industrial Engineering” stenciled on his back(picture above). This was harmless enough until three senior students set it alight, it burnt his back as you can see in the picture. Also students were forced to “dip” their genitals into chilli paste and also had their “pubic hair” burnt.

The three students are facing a 1 or 2 semester suspension, which is way too lenient. The university will pay the hospital costs of the student who suffered the burns. The family of the student is going to take the case further; I hope they sue the students and university for millions of Baht.

Here is another case: a student burnt and scarred, also this article is about Higher Education Commission (HEC) had sent letters to public and private universities nationwide warning them to strictly oversee initiation rituals.

They shouldn’t be overseeing anything, hazing should be completely banned. In western cultures hazing is also practiced, in the USA some students are branded and there have also been recorded deaths from initiations, many universities have strict rules and severe punishments for those caught performing hazing rites.

When I attended university we had orientation week which turned out to be a week long party of drinking and some silly activities, all pretty harmless. If hazing rituals could be guaranteed to be something that was harmless and practiced relatively safely, then no complaints.

The problem is that this isn’t the case for many, the rituals go too far and cause maiming, severe injuries and even mental scarring. There was a student who committed suicide in Thailand in 1995 after being humiliated in a hazing incident, another boy died after being forced to drink an excessive amount of water and the list goes on.

If the Ministry of Education set severe punishments for students and also the education institutions where these hazing rituals take place, they may be stamped out. If an institution is looking at millions of Baht in fines and the MOE revoking their education licence, they might stamp out the hazing rites completely.

Students who commit hazing rites that maim or humiliate someone should face a mandatory jail sentence, and a large fine. With such discouragements senior students may think twice about burning, humiliating or raping new students at their universities.

The Top Secret How To Do Sexual Battery

Audrie Pott Sexual Battery Suspects Arrested: 3 Teens Charged In Attack Documented With Cellphone Photos

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Eight days after allegedly being sexually battered while passed out at a party, and then humiliated by online photos of the assault, 15-year-old Audrie Pott posted on Facebook that her life was ruined, "worst day ever," and hanged herself.

For the next eight months, her family struggled to figure out what happened to their soccer loving, artistic, horse crazy daughter, whose gentle smile, long dark hair and shining eyes did not bely a struggling soul.

And then on Thursday, seven months after the tragedy, a Northern California sheriff's office arrested three 16-year-old boys on charges of sexual battery.

"The family has been trying to understand why their loving daughter would have taken her life at such a young age and to make sure that those responsible would be held accountable," said family attorney Robert Allard.

"After an extensive investigation that we have conducted on behalf of the family, there is no doubt in our minds that the victim, then only 15 years old, was savagely assaulted by her fellow high school students while she lay on a bed completely unconscious."

Allard said students used cell phones to share photos of the attack, and that the images went viral.

Santa Clara County Sheriff's Lt. Jose Cardoza said it arrested two of the teens at Saratoga High School and the third, a former Saratoga High student, at Christopher High School in Gilroy on Thursday. The names of the suspects were not released because they are minors.

Cardoza said the suspects were booked into juvenile hall and face two felonies and one misdemeanor each, all related to sexual battery that allegedly occurred at a Saratoga house party.

The lieutenant said the arrests were the result of information gathered by his agency's Saratoga High School resource officers. He said the investigation is ongoing, and Los Gatos police also continue looking into the girl's September suicide.

The Associated Press does not, as a rule, identify victims of sexual assault. But in this case, Pott's family wanted her name and case known, Allard said. The family also provided a photo to the AP.

The girl's family members did not comment and have requested privacy until a planned news conference Tuesday. Her father and step-mother Lawrence and Lisa Pott, along with her mother Sheila Pott, have started the Audrie Pott Foundation (audriepottfoundation.com) to provide music and art scholarships and offer youth counseling and support.

The foundation website alludes to the teen's struggles, but until now neither law enforcement, school officials nor family have discussed the sexual battery.

"She was compassionate about life, her friends, her family, and would never do anything to harm anyone," the site says. "She was in the process of developing the ability to cope with the cruelty of this world but had not quite figured it all out.

"Ultimately, she had not yet acquired the antibiotics to deal with the challenges present for teens in today's society."

On the day Pott died, Saratoga High School principal Paul Robinson announced her death, stunning classmates. Two days later other students and staff wore her favorite color, teal, in her honor.

Robinson wasn't immediately available for comment Thursday.

The Pott family is not alone.

In Canada on Thursday, authorities said they are looking further into the case of a teenage girl who hanged herself Sunday after an alleged rape and months of bullying. A photo said to be of the 2011 assault on 17-year-old Rehtaeh Parsons was shared online.

No charges initially were filed against four teenage boys being investigated. But after an outcry, Nova Scotia's justice minister appointed four government departments to look into Parsons' case.

Commits Suicide After Being Bullied by Peers

Rehtaeh Parsons Investigation Reopened: New Information In Alleged Rape, Bullying Case

TORONTO -- Authorities are reopening the case of a teen who hanged herself after she was allegedly raped and bullied for months, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Friday.

The police force's Nova Scotia office said it had received new and credible information in the case of 17-year-old Rehtaeh Parsons, whose family said she was photographed while being sexually assaulted in 2011 and bullied after the photo went viral online.

Her death on Sunday has been compared to similar cases in the United States, including a 15-year-old California girl who killed herself after her family says she was sexually assaulted by friends and a photo surfaced online.

Police had concluded there were no grounds to charge anyone in the Canadian case after an initial yearlong investigation. But the RCMP in Halifax now says a person who provided new information is willing to verify who the suspects are and cooperate with investigators, who have come under public criticism for their handling of the case.

RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae said he could not provide any details about who the source is or what the new information is. He would not say whether they were a witness. He said it's too early to speculate if there will be charges.

"We're certainly encouraged by this," he said.

MacRae said Parson's family had been informed, and they "welcome the re-opening of the file."

The Nova Scotia government came under criticism after Justice Minister Ross Landry initially ruled out the possibility of reviewing how the RCMP handled allegations that Parsons was sexually assaulted.

Landry changed course this week, saying he had asked senior officials for options to review how the Mounties and the Public Prosecution Service concluded they could not file charges.

A group reported to be the cyber-activist hackers Anonymous released a statement Friday saying it has seen "several public statements" from one of the alleged rapists acknowledging that he had sex with Parsons while she was intoxicated and that she threw up during the assault. The group had earlier vowed to release the names of four males investigated in the alleged sexual assault if police did not reopen its investigation.

A funeral service for Parsons is scheduled for Saturday.

Eat Noodles Everyday for 13 years

Teen's Strange Ramen Addiction

Ramen-style noodles, a staple in the pantry of broke college students, has been the mainstay of one teenager's diet for the past 13 years, according to an article in the New York Daily News.

Georgi Readman, 18, of the Isle of Wight, U.K., refuses to eat fruit and vegetables and exists solely on packaged noodle soup, a snack that often contains high amounts of fat, saturated fat, and sodium. One package typically boasts 400 calories and 20 grams of fat.

Readman, who is 5'3'' and 98 pounds, told the Daily News that she became hooked on the noodles when she was five-years-old and her mother still buys her packages by the dozens. She estimates eating 30 miles of noodles per year and the thought of eating anything else makes her sick.

“I hate the texture of fruit and vegetables," she said. “I can’t go to my friends' for dinner or go out for meals because I don’t want them to see me freak out if the side salad touches the stuff I eat. Mum goes to the supermarket and brings back as many packets as she can afford. I always fancy noodles and could easily eat two packets at once. I’ve even eaten them dry and uncooked before!”

Many children develop picky eating patterns after they turn one because their bodies naturally need less food and their taste buds change so they become more opinionated and selective about what they eat. Plus, at that age they're often on the go so it can be hard to get them to sit down for properly balanced meals. And although parents might give in to the demands of their children because it's easier than arguing about food, one recent study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that 78 percent of picky eating habits can be attributed to genetics (only 22 percent are caused by environmental factors).

Readman could not be reached for comment but according to her doctors, she is malnourished and has the health of an 80 year old.

"That sounds like an accurate assessment," says Lisa Kaufman, a pediatrician at Village Pediatrics who has not treated Readman. "A diet of instant noodles has likely wreaked incredible amounts of havoc on her organs. The body—especially one that's still developing—needs protein, minerals, and nutrients to grow; that's just basic common sense. Without it, this girl has probably suffered stunted growth and IQ, osteoporosis, heart and kidney damage, and high blood pressure. Her lifespan has likely been shortened as well."

Kaufman adds, "Kids would eat ice cream every day if they could but it's the parent's responsibility to broaden their palates, introducing various foods and textures to them."

At 18 years old, Readman's eating habits are so ingrained that it would likely take a major mental and physical overhaul to improve her health. "In order to get off the noodles, she may need hospitalization and an education in nutrition," says Kaufman.

Malaysian Racial Discrimination Stories

MALAYSIAN" Government wants to woo MALAYSIAN's back from overseas ......

Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak
Prime Minister of Malaysia
admin@portal.gov.my

Dear Prime Minister,

We refer to the letter below from a Chinese Malaysian for your information.
Would you like to comment, please?
We look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Yours respectfully,
Eddie Hwang
President
Unity Party WA
UnityPartyWA@westnet.com.au
http://www.unitywa.org/Ph/Fax: 61 893681884
Date: 02-Dec-2009.
A VERY WELL WRITTEN LETTER INDEED !!!

A Malaysian diaspora speaks up ...

I am a female Chinese Malaysian, living in the Washington DC area in the United States. I have read many of the letters that often talk about foreign countries when the writers have no real knowledge of actually living in those countries. Many draw conclusions about what those countries are like after hearing it from someone else or by
reading and hearing about them in the media or after four years in a college town in those countries.

I finished ST PM with outstanding results from the prestigious St. George's Girls School in Penang . Did I get a university place from the Malaysian government? Nothing ... With near perfect scores, I had nothing, while my Malay friends were getting offers to go overseas. Even those with 2As got into university. I was so depressed. I was my parent's last hope for getting the family out of poverty and at 18, I thought I had failed my parents.

Today, I understand it was the Malaysian Government that had failed me and my family because of its discriminatory policies.

Fortunately, I did not give up and immediately did research at the Malaysian American Commission on Education Exchange (MACEE) to find a university in the US that would accept me and provide all the finances. My family and friends thought I was crazy, being the youngest of nine children of a very poor carpenter. Anything that required a fee was out of our reach.

Based on merit and my extra curricular activities of community service in secondary school, I received full tuition scholarship, work study, and grants to cover the four years at a highly competitive US university.

Often, I took 21 credits each semester, 15 credits each term while working 20 hours each week and maintaining a 3.5 CGPA. A couple of semesters, I also received division scholarships and worked as a TA (teaching assistant) on top of everything else.

For the work study, I worked as a custodian (yes, cleaning toilets), carpet layer, computer lab assistant, grounds keeping, librarian, painter, tour guide, etc. If you understand the US credit system, you will understand this is a heavy load.

Why did I do it? This is because I learnt as a young child from my parents that hard work is an opportunity, to give my best in everything, and to take pride in the work I do. I walked away with a double major and a minor with honours but most of all a great lesson in humility and a great respect for those who are forced to labour in so-called `blue collar' positions. Those of you who think you know all about Australia , US, or the West, think again. Unless you have really lived in these countries, i.e. paid a mortgage, paid taxes, taken part in elections, you do not understand the level of commitment and hard work it takes to be successful in these countries, not just for immigrants but for people who have lived here for generations.

These people are where they are today because of hard work. (Of course, I am not saying everyone in the US is hardworking ... There is always the lazy lot which lives off of someone else's hard work. Fortunately, they are the minority ...)

Every single person, anywhere, should have the opportunity to succeed if they want to put in the effort and be accountable for their own actions. In the end, they should be able to reap what they sow.

It is bearable that opportunities are limited depending on how well-off financially one's family is but when higher education opportunities are race-based, like it is in Malaysia ; it is downright cruel for those who see education as the only way out of poverty.

If you want to say discrimination is here in the US , yes, of course it is. Can you name a country where it doesn't happen? But let me tell you one thing - if you go looking for it, you will find it. But in Malaysia , you don't have to go look for it because it seeks you out, slaps you in your face every which way you turn, and is
sanctioned by law!

Here in the US , my children have the same opportunity to go to school and learn just like their black, white, and immigrant friends. At school, they eat the same food, play the same games, are taught the same classes and when they are 18, they will still have the same opportunities. would I want to bring my children back to Malaysia? So they can suffer the state-sanctioned discrimination as the non-malays have for over 50 years?

The injustice the non-Malay have to suffer in frightening silence is the most damaging problem one has to face throughout one's life. You just have to look at the mighty Govt structures which completely favours only one race, the Umno Malay. The Chinese and Indians are treated no better than the illegal Indonesians.

Racism and corruption are openly practised by the Malay politicians everywhere, Courts, schools/Uni, police, govt offices, contracts, GLC, NEP, ISA, local Govt. It's so powerful and intimidating that you walk with fear and keep your mouth shut on anything and everything political.

Religion is taboo unless you talk good about Islam. As for being a slave in the foreign country, I am a happy 'slave' earning a good income as an IT project manager.

I work five days a week; can talk bad about the president when I want to; argue about politics, race and religion openly; gather with more than 50 friends and family when I want (no permit needed) and I don't worry about the police pulling me over because they say I ran the light when I didn't.

Have we seen the light at the end of the tunnel yet (Anwar Ibrahim)? Or is it the head light of an oncoming Umno train? Lets hope its the former for the sake of all fair minded Malaysians.

The dream of a Malaysian 'race' in the future is nowhere in sight with the present BN Govt.

The Old Devil Witch President

Uruguay president Jose Mujica overheard calling Argentina's Cristina Kirchner 'old hag'

Be Careful with your mouth!

Uruguay's president has been caught on microphone calling Argentina's president Cristina Kirchner an "old hag" and mocking her gift of a traditional mate cup and straw to Pope Francis.

URUGUAY'S President Jose Mujica had no apologies Friday after disparaging remarks aimed at Argentine counterpart Cristina Kirchner and her late husband were picked up by an open microphone.

In a radio presentation, Mr Mujica talked about the close links between the two countries, and emphasised that no event or person "can uproot our common history".

Mr Mujica made no reference to his remarks broadcast live on Thursday at the start of a news conference while he was speaking privately with another official.

"This old hag is worse than the one-eyed guy," Mr Mujica was caught saying, without realising that the microphones were on.

It was a clear reference to Mrs Kirchner and her late husband, former president Nestor Kirchner, who had a lazy eye and was nicknamed "El Tuerto" (the one-eyed guy).

"'El Tuerto' was more of a politician, this one is stubborn," Mr Mujica said.

He also had a catty comment on Mrs Kirchner's gift to Pope Francis: "To an Argentine Pope, who has lived for 77 years, are you going to explain to him what...mate and a flask are?"

The reference was to Mrs Kirchner's gift a gourd to drink mate, the herbal infusion popular in the Argentina and Uruguay, to the newly elected Pope.

Word of Mr Mujica's slip-up shut down the website of Uruguay's El Observador newspaper, which recorded historic traffic, according to the outlet's digital content manager. The audio had also been broadcast live on the president's official website.

One hour after his remarks Mr Mujica told the online edition of another newspaper, La Republica, that he had been talking about Lula and Brazil, and that he had not spoken "publicly" about Argentina.

"I'm not going to play ball with them or go around the world clarifying anything. They can invent all the nonsense that they want," Mr Mujica snapped.

The comments, however, went viral on social media.

Argentine Foreign Minister Hector Timerman on Thursday slammed the remarks as "unacceptable" and "denigrating," adding that they offended the memory of the deceased.

An official protest was delivered in the form of a note to Uruguay's ambassador to Argentina, Guillermo Pomi.

Nestor Kirchner was Argentina's president from 2003 to 2007. His wife, Cristina, succeeded him and won re-election in 2011. Nestor Kirchner was a key adviser to his wife up to his sudden death of a heart attack in 2010.

Mr Mujica, 77, is a former guerrilla who took office in 2010.
