“Nollywood & African Film Critics Award” also known as “NAFCA” is a tribute bequeathed to recognize excellence in the African film industry. The formal ceremony is held annually on the second weekend in September. The NAFC Award is one of the most prominent award ceremonies in North America and the only award that has been celebrated for boasting African movie stars and filmmakers around the world.

A portion of the sponsorship dollars and ticket sales are donated to the “North Carolina International Mission”; a nonprofit organization put in place to fight hunger and build schools in Africa.
