It’s official! Europe officially recognizes Nollywood! Since mid-2011 well-made Nollywood movies have been surfacing the European market. Nollywood’s new fan base is eager and searching to know who these Actors and Actresses are. Equally, those of us who grew up watching African cinema want to know were all this new monies are going. More so, how much of an impact is this new positive marketing having on the African community? We are still searching for concrete answers to these questions.
Nonetheless, we have gathered a list of 10 actors we feel have personally made an effort to impact their own respective African communities in a positive way. These actors not only use their personal finance but also their publicity to create awareness and funding for different evolving needs through private or public charitable organizations in Africa.
